so after reading the bulk cooking thread I feel inspired
trying to order aluminium foil containers from ebay - what size do you reckon would be good for two people? (taking into account one person eats for 1.5 and the other 1) lol
Thanks

You'll get them cheaper from a Oriental Supermarket.I'd buy two sizes then the long ones & the small ones.0

like look at this - seems like a normal size you would get from takeaway places but read the measurements - sounds huge!!

I don't think I'd bother with foil trays tbh. Cheaper and easier to line a tub with a freezer bag, pour in what you want and freeze. Once frozen, pop it out of the tub, tag it and pop back in the freezer. Foil trays annoy me particularly as you have to decant the contents if you want to microwave them0

I have tubs around that size, they hold 1 litre. I find them a nice size for two portions of veg bulked out meals, e.g. curry, stew, etc. Could probably fit in an extra portion but it's certainly not huge.0 -
I have plastic tubs, 500ml. I find they generally do a 2-person serving of a meat or a side (so 1 tub of chili and 1 tub of rice would feed the pair of us). I find the mash portion a teeny bit lacking but I'm a mash fiend - OH finds it more than adequate.0

You can buy foil containers in wilkinsons or poundland. Also we have a sweet shop round here that sells lose sweets like pick and mix. They have started putting the sweet tubs outside and you can buy them for 10p each. Brill for freezing and obviously can be reused again and again altho not oven proof lol0
