I have a pack of shortcrust in the freezer & want to make a chicken curry pie.So is it best to cook off the filling first before adding it to the unbaked pastry in the tin or add it raw?...

DW always cooks the filling first. her chicken pies are the mutts nuts.
She used a tip from the bake off program, pre heating the oven with a heavy baking tray in it the placing the pie on the heated tray. Apparently it helps prevent to pie bottom going soggy. Never thought there was an issue before she heard this tip. But if it makes her happy who am i to question it.Never put off till tomorrow what you can do today!
Cos if you do it today and like it...You can do it again tomorrow..
