Advents thread start date?

I see there are a few blogs and companies on Facebook starting daily giveaways from Nov 1st so will the Advent thread start then or will such comps just be added to the dailies?

They would be posted normally and added to he normal daily thread. I imagine the advent thread would be started some point in November as that's when companies tend to start mentioning advent comps. From the other thread, someone posted quite a good description of advents:
