Boots Apprenticeships.

Currently working for a fashion retailer part time. Usually get anywhere between 8-20 hours a week. I would say my average monthly pay is around £300 - £400.

I am seeking full time work, and have just been having no luck. I had really put off apprenticeships, simply because I earn the same wage for doing around 1/4 of the work hours. However, I just find myself with too much time on my hands, so am considering it as I have no luck in finding a permanent, full time and well paid job.

Money is not an issue as I am only 19 and still living at home. I believe the Boots Apprenticeship pay is £2.60 an hour so around £400 a month for 37.5 hours a week work. Seems pretty unfair but desperate times call for it.

I have just applied for a trainee/apprentice optical consultant in a nearby store. I was wondering if anybody working for Boots or has knowledge of this apprenticeship could let me know what the job entails. Is the qualification worth it for the poor pay? Is a job often given at the end?
