Have you thought of making a big pan of soup/broth that should last a whole week and it is very cheap to make. Or you could try a food bank and get some free stuff from them.
I feel so much better already just by looking out the windows i have to say
I'm doing ok food wise - i have loads of cheap veggies and pasta and tinned tomatoes and eggsi have to nab all my bits and bobs out of the condiments cupboard when i go back to the old house tomorrow - its amazing the difference it makes having stock cubes and herbs etc for making soup oh and my lentils and flour etc too
me thinks some bread making and dumplings is on the menu for next week

Ooh and £10 Capital Bond arrived yesterday from somewhere - Ipsos I think it was. Yes, it was. Only took 6 days, including the weekend to arrive as well, so that's pretty good.
I just took a look at what shops you can use Capital Bonds at and am pleased to see they can be used in Homebase. It means I can build up my decorating fund much quicker
£10 Homebase voucher arrived today from Consumer Pulse.Weight loss 0/2st

Haha, 'House identification'. I was completely like !!!!!! when I read that, went back over the last posts in case I'd missed something somewhere and it made sense.
But I obviously just hadn't cracked the code!!
The lady came for the toy she was collecting for her friend that lives further away, and was £4. But gave us £6.
I would have corrected her if I'd have realised, (although she knew it was £4 because she'd said that), but I was in the bedroom putting the baby to bed so OH went to the door. I heard her saying she was really sorry, she didn't have the change, and "I think it was £4, so just £1.." or something, so I assumed she'd given him £5, and he went off to get her change.
But apparantly she'd given him a £10 note, and a £1 coin. And we gave her a £5 note back.
Oh I don't know, maybe that means she gave us £5 as she gave us the £1 coin back if OH had given her one, which he should have as he should have gone to get her £6 change. Hmm, will ask him as I've confused myself now.
Added it as £4 though in case she realises and comes knocking
Going into the last week of November then... Already  Crazy..
