    Morning Chris,

I can sympathise as I have been in the same position as you.

But, a lot of the folk have hit the nail on the head on this thread if they had not lent you the money then you would have been struggling and by the sound of it would have been royally stuffed!

They are terrible and a real rip off but desperate times make for desperate measures and while these guys are leaches, they do serve a purpose and in my experience are always upfront with their charges (although I know some people will have had other experiences).

My advice is to call them to discuss a repayment option, be open and try to get the issue resolved asap - don't hang about until the day before the money comes out or you'll be back to square one.

The Cheque Centre was actually quite reasonable with me when I called them - I'm putting that down to all the bad press recently.

    Good luck!
  • How is it irresponsible lending when you knew what you were signing up for? Did someone hold a gun to your head and make you take the loan?

No you knew the interest rates and what would happen if you didn't pay it back.

Of course these places are the big bad wolf now but they were alright when you needed to use them.

I call that irresponsible borrowing on your part.
