Value £1.50 MORE expensive per kilo!!

Hi, thought I'd let other people know that Value meatballs (priced at £1.50 per pack) in Tesco are £6.95 per kg. That's £1.50 MORE expensive per kg than the 'Country' ones and only 35p less than their 'finest' range.

It should also be noted that the woo hoo half price beef mince offer is NOT as cheap as the steak mince off the counter at £3.00 per kg. And again, the 'Value' range is more expensive!

I was teaching the eldest to shop online when I noticed & thought I'd share because I was so livid at this naughty naughty behaviour

Well, it IS tesco .
    They rely on the vulnerable,
poor sighted , pensioners to just pick it up, they are so trusting.
Dont ever take it back cos they'll get
THEIR cops to beat you with batons,
take you to the floor in front of staff and customers, physically remove your glasses,
and deliberately spray CS GAS directly into your eyes,

    this naughty naughty behaviour
According to Tesco's rule book it's YOU who's been naughty.

You're supposed to go in there like a good little sheep and believe all the bull they feed you.

Look too closely and you'll find lots of other stuff like this. 'Value' bananas were the first that I came across. More expensive than the rest and often poorer quality.

    Outrageous!

I also notice the listed £/Kg is wrong as well.
    Tesco beef mince 500g - £2.84 listed as £3.55/kg

I must have been caught out loads of times as I generally look at the £/kg to pick the best value.

Silly me thinking they'd be right...

Most supermarkets value bananas are a rip off. They charge £1.15-£1.25 for 8 bananas. When I buy 3 loose bananas, they are 35-42p depending on the weight. So at most these same bananas loose cost 92p.
  • I bought the Tesco Value 2.5KG of spuds recently for 99p and they were Maris Piper from Scotland. The standard 2.5 KG bags were the same variety and from the same farm, yet 51p dearer.

It's not the first time I've noticed this in Tesco either..

They don't know what else to come up with to rip us off!
The fact that value was the cheapest (except for special offers etc) could be relied on, I think now they are really taking the pixx.
    Disgusted!

they could be irregular sizes, ugly ones etc, not necessarily any worse in terms of quality, just appearance (like the stupid rules that apples have to be divided by size, an apple is an apple, slightly bigger or smaller it doesn't matter, as long as the weight is the same, such wastage!)
    (OT rant over..)
