One monkey off my back!!

I paid off my Capital One credit card recently... got my statement today to say that I'm actually a few pounds in credit (overpaid them, just in case any more mysterious interest charges appeared) What a wonderful feeling !!! I've been trying to clear this card for ages and was sick of the high interest charges I was paying every month.
Think I'll frame that statement and start a 'wall of honour' in my house!! :rotfl: :rotfl:

Don't forget to ask them for your overpayment back as well!!!Find out who you are and do that on purpose (thanks to Owain Wyn Jones quoting Dolly Parton)0

Well done FrugalPam, I closed my Capital One account back last year - they tried all ways to keep my custom and at and extortionate rate of interest who could blame them.
Cut up the card and get shot of them.0 -

Yes I paid my Capital One card last month and they tried desperately to persuade me to stay.Olympic Countdown Challenge #145 ~ DFW Nerd #389 ~ Debt Free Date: [STRIKE]December 2015[/STRIKE] September 2015

Thanks everyone ! I'm going to get them to refund me the credit on my card - and if they like, I'll return the card to them in a bazillion pieces :rotfl:
At my worst times, I spent up to the credit limit most months, so of course ended up paying so much in interest. Interesting isn't it, how we ignore that fact when we've buried our heads in the sand. Nowadays I reclaim every penny I'm owed and refuse to get myself into situations where I'm stacking up credit charges for myself. I'm a true DFW these days :T
