I wish I could remember if I already used this one yet - no harm in trying again I guess - they can only not credit me.

I have about £62 in points now - one day i'll get round to spending them!

I went in my local WHS this week coz I had £29.99 worth of points on my card. So thought it was about time to use some so I grabbed some CD's and went to the till gave Clubcard to SA and she was amazed when I asked her to use points on card to pay for them. She tried to work out how much I had spent in WHS to get that many points. I didnt have the heart to tell her how I got so much on there.

If you plan to keep using a voucher, I'd advise that you are careful that your points balance doesn't get too high. The wording on the coupon is much more strict now and there have been reports of people having points deducted for overuse of vouchers.

I always hand over my card and the voucher at the same time, get the till operator to scan it so the points are recognised to the card and then say I want to use the points on my card as part payment. That way, you end up using up the points in the same transaction they are added to the card. Doing this, I never have a balance of points that's in danger of being taken away.

Better to be safe than sorry.

Last year I won £250 worth of clubcard points :-)
Half the fun of spending them was the look on the cashiers faces.
  • As advised by another MSE'r I convert my points quickly into gift voucher before they get clawed back!
