Steps After Judgment By Default

I received a CCJ Claim form from Arrow Global from a payday loan, unfortunately I was on holiday at the time and did not receive it.

Therefore they will have been granted a judgement by default.

I can afford to pay the amount this Wednesday when I get paid, however I am worried that they may be asking for an AOE order from the court in the meantime. The last thing I want is my employer finding out about this.

The response date on the claim form was the 22nd (last monday) and as yet I have not received the judgment certificate. Should I be worried about this or would I have received more paperwork if they were attempting to apply for an AEO or WOE?

Obviously either way it will be paid within 1 month, so I will get it removed, however as I say I dont want my employer finding out.

Thanks in advance

Any deadline for payment in full on the judgement (before enforcement procedures like an AOE would be possible) will likely be something like 28 days from the judgement date, so you should be well clear.

Regardless, even if not, it takes weeks/months for any enforcement to get applied for and sorted, so you have time to pay and stop it and clear it within the one month.
