I used to be a Parcelnet Courier back in 2009-2010. The pay was 40p an item. When I first started to work for Parcelnet I was told, by my area manager, that I would get paid an extra allowance as I was given an area which was not my home area (I.E, I had to travel extra miles to deliver the stuff to the customers). I started doing the deliveries but after 8 weeks I noticed that I was only being paid a basic delivery wage and no extra for the extra petrol I was using to deliver the parcels. I tried to contact my area manager about it but was told that she had left the company. I spoke to the regional manager about the agreement that was made between the area manager and myself but he said he knew nothing about it and that Parcelnet didn't normally pay a courier any extra for going outside his home area. By now I had paid out an extra £200 for petrol to do the deliveries. As far as I'm concerned Parcelnet had gone back on their word just to get me to work for them. As they refused to refund me I left the company and went to work for DHL who paid more. I would not recommend working for them. :cool:0

Parcelnet is now called Hermes.
My neighbour works for them, says the money is rubbish but no other job would work for him at the moment. He's only out delivering for about 2 hours a day.
Apparently there is an independent forum for them and Yodel couriers.
Not sure I am allowed to post the link on here, but if you google 'lifestyle couriers' its the top result.0
