Courier from NI to UK

Hi all, I need to send 3 individual parcels to the UK they are not that big to cause a problem but they weigh:

6.0 kg
5.3 kg
1.6 kg

Royal mail prices are around the £14 for the top two and around £6 for the lightest. That seems alot? Do any of you know a NI courier service or an online courier that could beat these prices. I'm looking at a 5 day from collection to delivery timespan. I live in L'Derry.

Thanks...............:)

PS: I'm putting this post in the ebay section of the forum as well in case any one can help me there.

I used a courier last year from NI. Very convenient not having to go to the post office & it cost a *lot* less. I checked the options on the MSE guide http://www.moneysavingexpert.com/shopping/cheap-parcel-delivery and found the one that suited me. Even went through TopCashBack & got some money back too.
Another option is the shop collect services, think they are called Collect Plus and Hermes. You drop off the parcel at a local shop & a courier picks it up & delivers. We had to return something to a retailer and they used the Collect Plus service - was very straightforward. Similar to the courier service we just had to print out a few things & keep a signed/stamped copy for ourselves. Found the links: https://www.myhermes.co.uk/wps/portal/PN_CTR/Home/homepage/ and http://www.collectplus.co.uk/
