Quitting temp agency work?

What are the rights and wrongs of doing this?
I have been offered a temp job through an agency, working on PPI claims. They have told me that it is a temp role from 12 Nov until the end of December with the possibility of being renewed in Jan. This includes a training period.
However, if I get a permament position in the meantime what do I do? I can't not look as I need a permanent job to survive but I also don;t want to mess people around. I'm going into the agency today to sign the particulars but I'm worried I'll end up being sued or having to pay back all the money they have paid me. Previous temp work was over 4 years ago and was on a weekly rolling thing in an office.
Please help me, I don't want to make a mistake

Take it! Especially if you're not working at the moment.
I did loads of temp work a few years ago and people always leave. It's the nature of being a temp. Most temps are on the look out for a perm job.
I've quit a couple fo temp jobs for more secure roles and the temp employers have never been suprised.
If you're worried, ready your temp contract, it should have a part about how no notice is required either side to terminate your contract.0 -
The contract will have a notice period in it.... as long as you serve that notice then there is nothing they can do. You may burn some bridges if you hand in your notice as soon as your out of training but I'd strongly suspect the training is going to be exceptionally light if your cold calling to generate PPI claim leads0
