Fagan inspection refers to a structured process of trying to find defects in development documents such as programming code, specifications, designs and others during various phases of the software development process. It is named after Michael Fagan who is credited with being the inventor of formal software inspections.

Thinking about it, can I now make a mis-spelling claim instead?

Yes he probably did now you come to mention it. How stupid of me being the only one not to have realised!
  • Do you not think he has a bit of a point?

TV ads you see state headline rates of 7% and such. People on here are often shocked at getting rates of 14-15% because they see adverts of 7% .

No matter what the small print may say, some people see the big flashy rate and think they'll get that.

Not everyone is financially educated to a basic level.

It's pretty much impossible to borrow loans under £10K anywhere near that rate, even with good credit rating.

Not saying it's full on outright lying, but shrewd marketing IMO

The thing is when they advertise that representative APR they anticipate offer 51% of applicants that they approve that rate. based on a 12 month sample.
from 1 February 2011, this calculation will change slightly. The BSI reports that: “The Representative APR must reflect at least 51% of business expected to result from the advertisement. The standard information must be representative of agreements to which the Representative APR applies.

Oh I see...... you think he means FAGIN ?? (with an 'I')

I personally couldn't imagine that someone would register on the forum, then wait exactly four years before making their first post only to mis-spell their very first written word......:rotfl:

I was wondering what the hell Fagan was!

it seems impossible to get anywhere near their reprehensive rate.

No, I think you've been offered some pretty reprehensible rates there...

You feel conned? Time wasted? Come off it.....how long does it really take to make the application?

Does their advertising say that they will lend money to everyone that applies? No. Does it say that if you get accepted you will get the best rate? No.

I can't really see what your problem is
