Does anyone have any tips or hints for making these? I'd like to make some for Christmas stocking fillers and presents, but also thinking waaaaaaay ahead as an alternative to party bags for my son's birthday next year. I can buy them as a bulk lot from Ebay.
I have access to a printer to do labels.
Thanks

Sweetie cones are a great idea, but watch what size cello bag you buy as the large cones need lots of filling. This gets costly if you fill with small sweets.
I have secured the cello bag top with a new hair pingy bit rather than an elastc band as this stops the elastic band damaging the cello, but maybe thats just me.
I then add a swing tag and ribbon.
Not sure if you live near Ikea but they sell small kilner jars for £1 each and i used these last year as an alternative to the bags.
Good luck with your sweetie bags, you have me thinking about my sweetie fillings.0 -
I am doing this for my brother and partner as a wee xmas prezzie. I getting Retro sweets from when we were younger like gob stoppers, paper money, flying saucers, aniseed balls etc and filling them up in the cello cones. Also making everyone Snowman Soup
Just waiting on my cones coming
. You could use haribo sweets, skittles, smarties. At xmastime u get the tobes of sweets for £1 from asda u cld buy one of them n split it up xxx 0 -
I got the Big boxes of Haribo from Costco last year, (for school) and got first pick as I was the one assembling the cones for the shcool fair...
I also get mugs & fill them from the big tin of wrapped chcolates that are now £5 or £4 (if you get lucky!), and wrap the lot in cello scrumepd from Interflora. They have to change cello every 3 motnhs - so I go in and ask for any remnants of last seasons cello...
Keeps school & Scouts occupied! :j0
