Hi all,
I have recently returned to my hometown and saw that my former position with hmrc was advertising again, I applied and have been told I was successful at interview but was on a waiting list, I found out today that hmrc have sent off my crb this afternoon, is this a sign that their is a position or do they tend to send off for everybody before offering positions regardless of whether their is a role or not.
I know previously only people with positions were checked but not sure if this has changed recently or not
Thanks
Jamie

When I applied for my present post with CS I too was put on the waiting list, went through CRB and then 3 weeks later was offered the post......I would say it is a positive sign your likely to get the post. Good luck!0 -
Hi wail
I found out as they misplaced a crb document so asked me to pop down and I was then told it would be sent off and takes 4-6 weeks which sounds right, I am hoping for the positive but going to still look around in case
