hi all
I was wondering how does this work out?
I have known accountants approaching soe o fmy colleagues for using their services for taxreturn.
The funny thing is they claim they will help getting back from tax man atleast the cost of their fees!![100+pouns or so]
is that possible?

I'm an accountant, and it might be possible, although I find it hard to believe that they would be able to promise at least a £100 refund to everyone. Perhaps they have identified something particular about your firm which means that tax refunds are likely for most staff (for example if your firm pays less than Inland Revenue mileage rates).

I am a hospital doctor and as an employee most of the taxing is straight forward pAYE.So are my colleagues.
this offer made me think about how this can be done?Also is there a liability on the accountants behalf,say if IR finds some discrepancies in the tax return ? ???
