Is my Twitter name jinxed?

Hi everyone
I just wanted your opinion if you don't mind. I created my twitter account for comping so added MSE to the end of my name. I have only won on Twitter twice (very tiny prizes) even though I enter all the Twitter comps I can find. Do you think that the MSE in my Twitter name is working against me or is it just that it's not my turn to win?
I don't think a Twitter name can be changed and I have 304 followers on this account, but would consider starting again if there was a possibility of more wins.

You can change your name - I did it to mine the other week. Just go to settings (click the little cog on the top right hand corner) and there should be the option to edit your username.
Any old tweets/retweets you sent can be linked back to you.
I won the day after changing my username & Matalan managed to find me just fine.
Hope that helps!0 -
I wondered the same with my email. I set it up for comping and it's 'myname.mse@...' Haven't won anything but it's probably not related. I'm probably just unlucky.:rotfl:0

It's likely not your name, just that tons of people enter twitter comps because hardly any effort is needed to enter. Worth changing it for your peace of mind though

even the tiniest prizes on twitter get hundreds of retweets - imagine how many the decent prizes get - I've won twicew on twitter & one of those was an ebook before i got my Kindle - gave the code to my friendproud gran to 4 lovely boys and one little girl0

i was thinking this the other day as have entered over 2000 twitter comps and have only won on one, a few months after i started doing them. i dont just enter comps on there though, i do tweet aswell. might try changing my name0

I have won quite a few goods things on Twitter - but don't really bother with the RT ones. The ones I won on were creative answer ones, not so many people enter them and then it's up to a human to actually read them rather then a computer selecting a name when some people RT literally hundreds of times. i was wondering the same too although i my very first win a few months back was on twitter. its the same with face book, i enter loads of comps and never win.
a question i have wondered with FB and twitter comps is do you need to check back on there page to see if you have won or do they always PM you? i always think i may have missed a psot to say i have won but with the hundreds of people now connected to both my accounts its a tiresome effort to go through all the posts every day.0 -
I don't have MSE on my name and only set up the account for comping and have never won a prize if that makes you feel any better! lolDream of being mortgage free....
