I'm a single mum of two and work for my current employers for 2 years now............i work shift work either 6.00 til 2.30 or 2.30 til 11 which i have managed to do with the help of my gran who is 74 btw and my brother.
My brother has been promoted at his work there fore i lost my monday and tuesday night babysitters, told my boss she sais that was fine un til she informed her boss he said that is was unacceptable.
i must stress i hardly ever worked monday night or tuesday night but when i notified them i couldn't work those night shifts i was then put down for three monday night shifts in the month
I applied for flexiable working as advised by my boss but this has been turned down.....i'm stressed to the high heaven but i feel i have no other option but to quit. I'm also being refused holiday that i want to take as they are claiming they have no-one else to cover but i always cover everyone elses shifts when needed
I have secured 5 hours a week admin work for a girl who has her own company, i'm also looking to register self employed to do avon as i'm in the process of re-registering as a childminder (6 weeks) to go.
am i'm being silly to leave???? my kids are getting fed up with this job too as my rota is constanly changing so we cant plan anything x

Sorry if I've missed something but surely a babysitter for the occasional evenings you have to do would be the answer?0

it's three evenings a week i work minimum could be more and i used to have a babysitter but because my rota changes every week and isn't predictable she couldn't do it anymore as she couldn't plan anything either.
two other girls at work have had there flexible working approved......i used to only be in two nights a week as i'm a part-timer but the last few months i've been getting more and more hours which affects my housing benefit as im only meant to be working 16 hours but last few month its been 30 hours, we're short staffed but the other departments are allowed to get more staff but we aren't for some reasonNEXT TARGET: Halifax credit card DEC 22 £0 / £4499.12POAMAYC 2011 £6378.35 POAMAYC 2012 £5000.78POAMAYC 2013 £3480.04 POAMAYC 2014 £4085.14POAMAYC 2015 £7565.24 POAMAYC 2016 £8000.90 POAMAYC 2017 £7278.80 POAMAYC 2018 £13208.18POAMAYC 2019 £13309.28 POAMAYC 2020 £15026.050
