camp sites in Delamere
Hi i want to go camping in June in Delamere, to do "Go Ape" and the Forest Festival.
i have had a look at the info provided by the forestry commission and the camp sites they recommend all seem to be caravan sites - no tents.
could someone point me in the direction of a camp site with easy access to delamere (walking) the concert is on at Linmere and i dont mind walking a mile or two.
many thanks in advance cause i still havent got my thanks button to work yet.

There are several campsites around chester,i know one for sure is by the Grovenor garden center just off the A55 on the Wrexham rd.
As said before check out ukcampsite.co.uk and look under Chester or Cheshire.Child of a Fighting Race.0 -

Yeah maybe but walking from Chester to Delamere is some hike! They say that football is a religion, if this is true I worship at the Exacta Stadium, Chester0 -
Noggin the nog has a good shout because there are sites ie grosvenor racecourse and chesire oaks in and around chester with a train ride of about 3or 4 stops to mouldsworth or cuddington sta also delamere will cater for tents im sure if not and there are a couple of good people which will rent you out a corner of the farm for a fair price. I go into Delamere just to walk the dog occasionally a beautiful friendly place to go .enjoy:cool: hard as nails on the internet . wimp in the real world :cool:0

Hi, was driving through the forest yesterday and saw that a new camp site has opened up right on the edge of the forest - 5 to 10 mins max away from Linmere and Go ape.
