how do i work out the amounts i need on mysupermarket.co.uk with asda??

please could someone help me out.. im so confused!!!
i may sound really stupid for asking but im looking at buying veg/chicken ect from asda on moneysupermarket.co.uk and it says: weight by (100g) on asdas veg and chicken. :-/. Surley it is not going to be 24.8p for a whole medium chicken :S
i want to buy 400g of chicken thighs but dont know what to input. i dont want to get it wrong and waist money and it says carrots by weight (100g): What if i wanted 8 carrots.. do i input 8 in the box to add to my basket?. i just dont get how you work out how many of each veg or the amount of meat like chicken i would need to input. i am following recipes and looking for the ingredients from this sight but i don't understand the by weight (100g) thing. Please could you try and explain to me what i do, no one can seem to help me so far :-/ thank you to anyone who can xx

No you can;t just put 8 into the basket and they will give you 8 carrots, you have to work it out per KG/G so for every 100g of chicken you will be charged 24.8p so for 1KG of chicken it's £2.48.. I always have to guess work the veg

When you click on 'add to basket' on the chicken thighs it will change and say 100g (price) just click the + sign and choose how many G's you want and it will alter the price accordingly

  • so if i add 8 in the basket with carrots, i will receive 8 carrots? and if i add 4 to the basket of chicken thighs/drumsticks, i will receive 400 grams worth?? this is the link i am looking at with the chicken: www mysupermarket. co.uk/#/Shopping/FindProducts.aspx?Query=chicken&Store=ASDA&Sort=Price (there is a space between www and a dot missing & mysupermarket and .co.uk ect as it wont let me post link properly yet x
  • No, you click 'add to basket' then click the plus sign (+) 4 times for 400g, it will tell you how many grams you are getting/how many youve put in your basket.

For carrots, you have to guess the weight, unless you know how many grams an average carrot weighs. You cannot just put 8

  • thank you so much for helping me out :) xx
