Current growth rates?

Have just recieved my endowment statement. As ever, it gives a substantial shortfall at all the growth rates (3.75%, 5.50% and 7.25%), although not quite as bad as last year so I suppose that is a good sign.
It just got me wondering as to what current growth rates are?
I realise that whatever they are now, doesn't necessarily mean that they will continue at that rate for the next 9 years and they will need to be constant to produce the quoted figures.
I'm guessing that growth in the last year must have been reasonable as the shortfall has fallen but I don't understand this stuff (which is probably why we are in this shortfall mess in the first place).
