Hi,
after reading the forum. I am interested in going to Costco so therefore I rang them up earlier. it turns out me or my other half cannot go as we work for small businesses and don't own them.
But my dad can go cos hes a member/employee of a big company? Why can you only go if your a member of a big company

It's a club so they can let in who they want... It's not just people who work for big companies, it's also people who have professions, civil servants and people with their own businesses or who are self-employed. Information here. I guess they want people they perceive as having stable incomes. BUT if your Dad lives near you, he will be able to take you in as you can take two guests per card in with you?
If you know anyone who has a trade membership (ie has a membership because they have a business) they can get you your own card on their membership. Then when it is time to renew, Costco will offer you a membership in your own right! That is one way of getting membership if you don't meet their criteria.
The criteria for having your own business is not that strict, by the way. I got mine because I sell a few crafts online. Although I am 'self employed' I don't consider myself to really be running a business!0 -
I don't know anyone at all who goes to costco
suppose my other halfs grandad could go too 0 -
You can get a card from anyone who is a member, I'm a personal non trade member and can add other people on to my membership.0
