Digital Photo's Onto Transparent/Acetate?

Not sure that the stuff is called but I need to get some photo's printed onto the see through plastic type film stuff? Think it might be acetate? It is to go in a wall display that is lit from behind.

Not sure that makes any sense but work have asked me to source a somewhere to get them printed and have no idea what I'm looking for is even called!

You can get the clear acetate's from a stationery store, state that you need to print onto a inket printer.

I think you can only get them in a4 size (no idea if you get them bigger)

The acetates for inkjet feel a bit rough one side (for the ink to be absorbed)

Thats assuming you have a good quality inkjet printer!

Thanks for the reply, think I haven't explained myself very well, need th,e to be about A3 sixed, if not slightly bigger and want them printed professionaly. But you do think it is call acetate so thats something for me to start my search from.
