    Hi all fellow bootsers

I am getting withdrawal symptons having not had any vouchers to spend in boots for ages and not even been into the shop. I missed out on the serum too. But i have just been reading about the mooncup in the other green thread and how everyone is raving about it. Only thing is its £19.99 on Boots.com. Just wondered if anyone knew of any vouchers/points or discounts available on this or if anyone had spotted any reduced ones?

    Thanks

    Misseypootle

I know this is advising you not to go to Boots (how could I?!:o ) but I ordered mine from here http://www.bodykind.com/productdetails/RefererxGoogle_mooncup/PartnerIDx6/CatIDx198/ProdIDx806/mooncup-menstrual-cup-1x.htm?gclid=CPWB1rGi8ooCFT4GQgodw0GkqA
£14.36 and free delivery. Also, not all Boots branches stock the (I know neither of my two locals do).

I read the website, and must admit, I personally dont like the thought of them. Im sure theyre wonderful inventions, but I will be sticking to tamopns and towels. Emptying it doesnt sound too appealing to me

I have a mooncup and love it !!

I work from home and dont venture out much (!!!) so emptying and cleaning it isnt a problem at all, but on the odd occasions I do need to do it away from home I just tip it down the loo, dab i off with loo roll and reinsert it

Yeah, I know what you mean. I havent tried them and the picture I just saw on the site hasnt tempted me!! But there do seem to be alot of women who rave about them.....so I guess its 'each to their own' ;)
Some of the testimonials on the website are interesting to say the least....but how anyone could get quite so excited about having a period is beyond me :rotfl:

    lol

I dont think I would feel comfortable using one, but then again I didnt think I would with tampons...

Still think I will give the mooncup a miss

    Back to Boots....:j

I went to Ponetfract today, but as expected all the sale items had gone, except a few. I managed to get a pot of roll on wax for £1 and 3 lots of laminated postcards for photos @ 5p each - rrp £2.49, These will make nice borders for framing my pics :D I tried to get a lipstick bag with my £5 off no7 mailing voucher, but SA shouted No7 lady over  and she said "No!! Its a sale item"

I just had a look on the Mooncup website and I see what you mean about it being bigger than a tampon!! But apparently there are 2 different sizes. Without meaning to be too personal...are you sure you are using the right sized one? There is also a FAQ section on the site, and it seems some people have problems inserting/removing them at first due to friction (they advise wetting it first or using a lubricant). Maybe thats why you are getting the 'weirdness pains'??

    HTH ;)

    :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

i can imagine all the men running out of this thread!!

yeah i no have the right size, one is for before childbirth and the other for after. It isnt the size I think maybe I just am not used to having it up there :rotfl: :rotfl:

It does go in fine without lubricant but after a while I just feel weird, maybe just in my head!!

oh well, yup the idea of emptying doesnt sound to good...could you imagine if you were at work and it somehow spilt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

anyways like people say, it suits some and not others, and i am a bit squeemish so i will probably just forget about using it now!
