Just been at lunchtime (Preston), and managed to get Sanctuary Body Lotion & Body Wash, even though the SA said it wouldn't work coz it's only for facial skincare. I asked her (plus another SA who became involved) show me where it says 'facial', so she tried scanning the voucher---- lo and behold it worked. Both SA's were surprised, and pleased as they were sick of using their vouchers on facial skincare!
    Back tomorrow to get more!

    Hi everyone
Know shouldn't talk ebay on here but it is boots related & I know some of u are experienced sellers on ebay - I'm a complete novice
Can anyone give me advice? I have sold some P&P & R&R on ebay. I thought I would have a go after reading about it on here - only got about what cost in Boots. Asked for payment through paypal got email saying I had to accept or refuse payment now says I have had limit for debit/credit cards & have to upgrade to a premier or business account. Is there anything I can do to get buyer to send money straight to my paypal account. What do you think I did wrong? Also had someone pay by eCheque - do I have to pay more to paypal to receive this payment. Is it better just to stick with personal account or have u all got premier accounts.
After this first experience of selling I don't think I will be selling much more - far too nerve-wracking.
Any advise would be really welcome
    Thanks

Doh! pressed thanks instead of quote!

This happened to me. I opened a private account with paypal but had to upgrade when someone tried to pay me. I think this happens when someone tries to pay you with credit card (as opposed to paypal funds balance) iyswim.

If you upgrade (pretty easy to do) then you should be able to 'accept' the persons payment. Only downside is that by upgrading you then have to pay fees on the money you receive.

As far as echeques go ... don't like these myself. A couple of people have paid me with these and I find them very frustrating as they often take about 9 working days to clear. Don't send the items out until Paypal have notified you the cheque has cleared.

I'm not an expert on ebay or paypal so apologies if I've got anything wrong but I have written from my own experiences.

I bought 8 vouchers and used them all today without any problems, I really do think they are legit.

I was told I couldn't use them on sachets or non facial items so ended up buying lots of Time Delay wipes at £3.99 so free.

I also bought four different Sanctuary Spa items and used both the skincare voucher and the £3 magazine voucher together so only had to pay a few pence each time :)

I bought hand cream with my vouchers, no-one said anything about non facial items to me.

Exactly!! It doesnt say facial skincare only, yet some SAs are refusing to accept these vouchers on other skincare. I swear they make the 'rules' up as they go along

I dont want or need any more facial skincare, I have loads of the blooming stuff..... but body wash is another matter. At least my b/f and my son can use the body wash type stuff, so it comes in very handy. And I love the Sanctuary ones, but would no way pay £4.50 a time for it....getting it free with a voucher is fantastic deal though!!
2008 gig list... Nickelback + Staind (OMG...Staind ROCKED!!), Roger Waters, Infadels, Pendulum, The Police, K T Tunstall, Breed 77, Biffy Clyro....oh, and Motorhead :D

I agree the vouchers only say skincare and it seems the till agrees:D ,but in my Boots there were signs on the shelves saying "use your skincare vouchers on eg.Boots Time delay facial skincare"
I'd love to spend some of mine on bodycare as you go through more of that, theres only so much cleanse ,tone and moisturising a girl can do:rolleyes:

Hi, does anyone know until when the 17 fairy bag is on offer? Thanks in advance!!

PS: Great news about the £5 skincare vouchers, namely that they are valid on non-facial skin!! Thanks everyone who bothered to share their experiences! I am accummulating too much hand cream ;) .

ps2: concerning the 50% on sunglasses: yesterday I bought a lovely monkey pair of sunglasses for 50%£16 = £8 with free case (which scanned for £5, but was free with the purchase!! :j
