Hi all!
I got a little over excited in the local farm shop yesterday and accidentally picked up an oak smoked gammon hock rather than a plain one.
My question is that I want to cook it in the slow cooker - normally I just bung the joint in with some cider/apple juice but do I need to do anything differently with it being an oak smoked joint? Am happy to revise cooked method if necessary (eg do in oven?)
Thank you for all your expertise!

I've cooked smoked joints the same way as unsmoked. Very yummy!"Finish each day And be done with it.
You have done what you could.
Some blunders and Absurdities have crept in.
Forget them as soon as you can."

Do I need to soak it or is that for salted joints?
Thank you!0 -
Should be fine without soaking0
