I got a guest pass a couple of years back.

For us and our weekly shop it wasn't worth the extra hassle to get there and find the storage on the few pence we'd save.

For friends though, and their weekly shop, it is really worth it.

Only you can make the decision - take a weekly shopping till receipt and do a price comparison using the guest pass. Then you can see if its for you.

It's not really a weekly shop sort of place to be honest and if you have no storage space i'd give it a miss for now. It's a godsend for us as we have a big family (10 cans of john west tuna £7.7odd, 12 cans of nice chopped tomatoes under £4, snow boots for children £13 etc etc), maybe go and have a look xx

Thanks a lot everyone. Thinking it's maybe not worth it for us then as we live in a 2 bed flat with overflowing storage space as it is lol! I'll maybe have a wee visit at some point just to check anyway though.

    Thanks for replying! x

As someone already said, it's not a place to go for a weekly shop because you can't buy just one tin of chopped tomatoes for example, you'd have to buy a pack of 12 tins.
You will also have to factor in the cost of membership and fuel costs.
Depends how local it is to you.
As has been advised, the best way is to get a guest pass and check it out for yourself.

I went today, and boy have their prices gone up since I last went!
There are still a lot of bargains though, and some things you just would not find elsewhere. We always get a pie and a pizza, and today got a big bag of salt and pepper squid (like the one at the chinese) and it was less than a tenner. its about a fiver for a portion round here, and we easily go through 3 in one go. So thats a bargain for me. They also have cheap dog food, and as others have said, very good meat and cheese.
    Loving the sunny days!
  • I do my price homework before I shop in costco - so that I know what is on offer in the Supermarkets. I save my membership fee over the year in Toilet rolls, tissues alone, usually buy in bulk for family members also, never mind the fabric softener, bin bags, bottled water for kids,we wait till they are bogof and the small fruit juices bottles or cartons, oh! and the Nature Valley cereal bars, £2.65?? odds per pack of 5 x 2 bars, I`m getting 48x 2 bars for £5 at the moment so westock up when they are on offer as my two teens take them to school daily and to eat at athletics training - my hubby came back with the 3 kinds we like yesterday, that saved £15 on the normal price we pay in costco which is still a bargain compared to buying them in the supermarkets. My advice would be know what you are looking for from the offers leaflet, make a list and stick to it.
It is definately a big saving for us!
