I have been comping for about 4 weeks now. I spend pretty much all day on them as I am on maternity leave although I never count how many I enter.
I am yet to win anything which is fine but I don't know if I am doing something wrong, I don't want to be wasting my time, even though iv not a lot else to do with it.
Just after a few words of wisdom to keep me going
xx

I started end of June 2011, like you am at them all day most days. Got my first win mid August 2011 so was about 6 weeks before my first win.
Many of the ones you have entered so far, probably haven't ended yet, so don't lose hope just yet. That first win is probably just around the corner xxI love this board, have "virtually" met so many lovely people, people I am honoured to count as friends.

Ive got my fingers crossed for you, you will win some thing soon, happy comping0

I'm not winning at the moment, but I assume it's because I'm busy sorting out moving, so I've cut down a lot on how many I do.
Don't be disheartened. In my humbles, it's not so much about winning, but the hope of winning. Every day, I look forward to the post coming, and every time I check emails, I never know if I'll get that elusive, "Congratulations!" It's become so much the spice of life for me.
Perhaps once you've notched up a win or three it will be easier to see it that way. It will happen. Enter as many comps as you can, make sure some are for nice tiddlers, rather than just the popular big un's. Also, I recommend going for some of the freebies: http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/forumdisplay.php?f=37
It's a great boost to get a nice sample of something lovely through the post. My fave ones are perfume samples. I now have a huge collection of tiny sample bottles of the most expensive perfumes. When one of these comes, it feels like a win.
Good luck. Blu XI am brave, I am bruised
I am who I'm meant to be
I'm not scared to be seen
I make no apology
THIS IS ME!
When you talk down to others it says more about you than them.0 -
I started comping mid September and have had one win - family tickets to the preview of frankenweenie - which compared to some wins you read isn't much but honestly I was that excited you'd have thought I'd have won a car! If you think you're going to win every time you just get disappointed when the postie doesn't pop a suprise through your letterbox every day (trust me I know!!) so now I just see it as a hobby0
