Madagascar 3 already on DVD in the USA

I have just received my DVD & Blue Ray copy of this from Amazon.com as they have been released in USA & Canada.
For the same price as 4 cinema tickets my 2 disabled children can watch this at home with their toys (character toys from Madagascar)
I have no idea why Dreamworks left this so late to launch here in the UK
