Am I the unluckiest comper? ;)

Hello all,

this post isn't meant as a moan as I am trying to laugh about this all otherwise what's the alternative? Have been comping since june and hadn't won a sausage and was getting a bit down about it all. Then on the 16th I was told I won the 1,000 Nectar points Twitter competition, so that gave me a bit of a boost and was excited about the points hitting my account. The points arrived in my account on Saturday, however when I logged in on Sunday they had disappeared, very bizzare. Have emailed Nectar but not heard anything back so I've no idea what is going on, what's happened to my points??? I know that a 1,000 points is only worth £5 but still a win is a win and it was my first one ever. So my question is am I the unluckiest comper and is the universe trying to tell me something?:p
(By the way universe, soooo not funny)

Agnes

if you are on Facebook try the Maoam mega vend - it's been quite generous so far - maybe that would make you think the wins are out there.

I'm not a lucky person but because I enter loads of comps (well over 100 a day) I get a few wins

  • you are not the unluckiest comper i'm sure - bear in mind that most people are more likely to log on to thank people for their wins and there are far more people out there not winning at all or winning very sporadically.

how many do you enter a day? i'm doing about a 100 a day and staying hopeful for some nice wins.
Best wins: Holiday to San Francisco, Full sky package + TV, Rewind Festival tickets & Snoozebox, 5* London hotel stay, £1000 B&Q

I've been comping since July/August 2012 and also no wins so far, almost loosing my faith in my good luck, about 50 entries a day and nothing :( would love to post one day in Iwon!Iwon! section :]
    2013 - £650
    2014 - £842
Wins: Superdry jacket, RedLetterDays £50 gift card, Folio Society Diary, digital subscr MCMag, Benefit+Asos goodies, £300 holiday money, deck chairs, a book, £100 from Visa, Take a Break £25+£50
2015- £200 shoes, bread machine, ring
  • I haven't had a win yet but I've only just started comping. I do between 30-40 a day most days. What is the usual time before you get your first win? I keep hoping!!!
  • Same boat, joined in April spend 1-2 hours a day at least entering competitions, sometimes spend up to 5 hours, havent won anything. I was a runner up once and got sent a voucher for a 1litre tub of ice-cream, unfortunatley for me they dont sell that brand of ice cream where I live! Typical. But the hope of winning outstrips the lack of hope by not entering at all. Good luck!
Comping Newbie, started 1st April and been a runner up once :rotfl:

I have had dry spells for up to four months with no wins. you have just got to keep going. ;)

though it's worth taking a break occasionally, as I did this summer.

All the best..hope your wins come soon.

I have a disaster story too: I won tickets to the Scandinavia show in London. Because it was short notice I had to spend £40 on travel, then missed the coach - couldn't get another till the next day and had to pay again - and really the show wasn't worth it!
BUT we did have a super mooch along the river taking photos.
