Have Barclays/BC taken money from your account without notice? Join me in complaining

Hi all, I have been pretty pants on getting my problem with Barclays Mastercard sorted out (originally on this thread)

but today I got a call from Mercers regarding not paying so am getting my letters ready as we speak and it give me a kick up the rudder as needed. We have now guessed that since we are running our account in the red they cannot help themselves to our money any longer. The woman at Barclays is also getting a letter and I have told her to liase with John Varley who is the CEO as I am forwarding all correspondance to him so maybe he can help me find out why they are taking my money without notice and not taking enough so that I get charged more.

After reading these stories I was horrified that it had happened to so many other people so maybe others would like to join me in complaining en-mass to:

John Varley - Group Chief Executive (board and executive committee member) at Barclays Bank PLC, 1 Churchill Place, London, E14 5HP

Also, I am forwarding the details to MoneyMail at The Mail and outlining the points that we have all been having trouble with - you should do so as well, if we mail them en-mass then maybe they will realise that we are not going to be suckered any longer into taking this lying down.

I am going to send the letters in the next day or so because they told me they were only going to contact me by letter and have not done so and today I got a call. anyone else know who could be interested in a letter? i do not usually read the Mail so not up on these mney pages really. i read the sun but don't think the Money pages would be interested in this kind of thing. Come on guys, if it has happened to you then let's stand up and complain about it. Enough of us and Barclays will get a nice load of publicity on top of the stuff on the BBC so I am sure this might be the right time to do it. Who's in??
