Littlewoods/Very Finance - Personal Loans
Wondered if anyone had ever used Personal Finance from Littlewoods and Very? They are now offering personal loans via Moneysmart, who I haven't heard of.
Obviously they are higher APR's than high street lenders but I also wondered if maybe their acceptance criteria might be more suited to those with a less than perfect credit rating. So if anyone can answer that as well that has successfully got one of these loans that might be usefull.

Its Moneyway that they use - which is part of Secure Trust Bank, who also offer basic bank accounts, savings accounts etc.
For these loans they appear to be operating in the subprime market, so it may mean that you'd be more likely to be accepted than from a highstreet lender, if the only issue is your credit file (and not issues with affordability etc).
I guess it depends on what the less than perfect credit history is, if you have a report filled with unpaid debts then I doubt you'd be accepted, if its something like a single satisfied default then I'd think it could be worth a shot (assuming you meet their standard criteria re age & income).A smile enriches those who receive without making poorer those who giveor "It costs nowt to be nice"0 -
OOPS I meant Moneyway not moneysmart, not sure where I got that from;):D
I have one 5 year old default left on my file but lots of positive things built up since. Lots of payment history, well run accounts etc.0 -
Hi Simon, I would be interested to know about this too. Are you going to apply? If so would you let me know how you get on0

I will if I decide to apply, I don't need the loan just now but it is possible that I might be actively looking in the early part of next year. If I can't find any feedback on them, I don't whether I would use them though. I know sometimes beggars can't be choosers and all that but I do prefer to have a general idea about any company I use, both good and bad. Read it, take it in and then make my own informed decision as a result.0
