Happy November everyone. First day of the month and first weekly shop. Pretty impressed with just £23.80 spent. I think I should be ok bar milk/bread top-ups till mid-week next, but then I always do ....

    Hello,

Well, I have had my delivery for November and it came to £126.96 so this leaves me with £23.04 until the 27th November.

My freezers and store cupboards are groaning so in theory I should be able to come in on budget, the key for me is to menu plan.

So to help me achieve my first successful grocery challenge I will wander over to both the fiscal fast and meal plan threads and give them both a go.

    January 2025 Grocery Challenge: £220.00/£59.47
January 2025 NSD: 0/30 (unplanned spending)

Went shopping today to buy reduced pumpkins after halloween to make Pumpkin soup. Looked everywhere, supermarkets, grocers and market and there were none! Where have they all gone? Does anyone from the supermarket world know? Do they ship them all out to a soup making factory or something? I am puzzled and would love to know

Spent £5.19 on some fruit and my contribution to the work buffet today. Did quite well as my lovely colleagues had brought some GF cakes in which I got to take home, about £6 worth. Very nice of them:T

Not sure what's for tea:o Our meals are all over the place this week with trying to get the loft sorted and I have managed to defrost and waste 2 chicken breasts:mad: DH will be in shortly, and raiding the fridge like a plague of locusts so I better rustle up some pasta sharpish.
