will this help??

Hi everyone, I'm a newbie...

I have been thinking about my credit for some time - I got a free report from Equifax about 3 and half years ago, and there was a CCJ on it for about £450. I have 2 questions really - will it have had interest added onto it in this period? and if I pay this off - with my partners credit card (he, as far as we know has v. good credit) - will the CCJ automatically be wiped from my file or will there be a note to say that I have had one before?

Hope someone can give me some positive feedback.
Thanks

With CCJ's they stay on your file for 6 years from the date they were put on there. It will remain on your file even if you pay it off for this period of time but will be marked as satisfied. Once the 6 years are up, it will come off your file, but I've been led to believe if it's not paid within the 1st years, the company can get it re-registered for another 6 years!
