Dear all
I am with Accord Mortgages at the moment. 2 yrs fix came to an end and now I am on 5.99% SVR. Their website states the following:
"Transfers of Mortgage
Although you may not transfer your interest in the mortgage without consent, there is no restriction in the mortgage against a transfer of Accord Mortgages’ interest. Accord Mortgages may
transfer its interest in your mortgage to any one else who may not necessarily be a building society or an associated body of a building society. Accord Mortgages is part of the Yorkshire
Building Society group but is a separate legal entity from Yorkshire Building Society. You will not be a member of, or have any membership rights in, Yorkshire Building Society"
Does this mean that I can re-mortgage to YBS?
Many thanks

What you've put abov is just saying thar Accord mortgages are part of the Yorkshire group but effectively separate and by having a mortgage with Accord doesn't make you a member of YBS.
You can re-mortgage to anyone you like provided you meet their lending criteria0 -
A remortgage requires a change of mortgage deed in the process of changing from one lender to another. There may be legal and other costs to pay in securing a better deal.
You can remortgage from Accord to Yorkshire Building Society, as you could remortgage to any other lender, subject to criteria, valuation, status etc.
If you are asking if you can simply switch products from Accord to YBS, without a formal end of your current mortgage and commencement of a new one, the answer is no.

Thank you both for your replies.
The reason I asked is that just in case they say I am not eligible due to having a mortgage with one of YBS lending arms.
