Disabilty Carers on Public Transport

Thank you for the suggestions. As stated by some, not all disabaled are purely reliant on the physical aspect of going out into strange places. I shall contact my local council and ask them about it.

If you think the disability dosh bit is a better place then yes please to your offer to move this thread.

I don't understand the thought processes that went into making this rule as there is clearly a need for some people with a learning disability to have a carer with them to assist their decision making and to ensure they arrive safely at their destination.

Some of the people I supported whilst working with people with Learning disabilities had no mobility issues. However were still allowed companions, due to needing an escort whilst travelling somewhere on the local busses.
