Don't know where you read that as these were on offer in the shops yesterday in the North, its really just getting on the phone and asking around and you might strike lucky.

I would say on most of these type of deals to phone around first, it cheaper than petrol and you can pay over the phone with your CC to secure it while traveling without fear of missing out. If they don't stock the item they are a good contact to tell you which shop in the local area might stock it. Works for me

Didn't bother myself when I seen the post on Saturday as people had already posted they had visited and rang numerous stores. Went out to a co-op store is South Wales earlier just in case...they had a boxlin a glass case, it was a full system with addtional controller as someone posted earlier. I asked about it but was told they had sold them all earlier in the afternoon and the one in the case was an "empty box display". The person was very cagey about it and was ademant it was an empty box....I didn't push them to open the case but I think it was one they had earmarked for themselves as they looked quite worried when I asked.

Are there big ones that also sell electricals?

The stores I've asked in say they don't sell electricals.

The one I went to is quite large and has a small electrical area selling tv's, washing machines, etc. so it maybe just the bigger ones.
