    Morning lovelies!

We've got snow forecast on Friday due to an arctic blast (that always makes me chuckle, child that I am :D ) and a good downpour too by the looks of things  it's grey, damp but kinda warmish today.

WM almost finished with today's second and final load, TD almost finished with the first lot, clean bedding folded. Finances mulled over to see If I can rob Peter to pay Paul but Peter's skint too hahahahaha. Building up to giving a cleaning company a ring to ask for a couple of days work, minimum wage though *gulp* but better than nothing.

Bed's made and bedrooms straightened, kitchen cleaned and tidied, also hoovered all downstairs :A

Swept the back garden, OH gave the front grass the final cut of the year yesterday so that's done and dusted till the Spring but looks nice and tidy, never had a tidy front garden during the winter before EVER! :D

Gonna finish my brew then chill with last night's Downton.
  • Hi everyone and thanks to Dustykitten for the lists - I'm one of the bungalow brigade! (Hi to Lamewolf and WWPiggy - isn't it nice not having stairs to clean!). Hi to Ionafan, too, I'm glad some of us 'specials' are still here!!

A quiet, but productive day so far - did the bathroom and tidied main bedroom, also sorted some paperwork out, so am pleased with that. All the ironing is up to date, so am just having a bit of toast and honey to keep me going, as I leave for work in 20 mins! I never want to go, which is grim, although I do love interacting with the residents - it's some of the staff that I find hard work.

Welcome, and good luck to all the new folk, I'm sure you wil find this site invaluable. All good wishes to anyone feeling poorly, R x.

Yay - that's the worst job of the week done and all in my HHC! All the the shower and bathroom sanitary ware is sparkling, and I'll dust, vacuum and mop later in the week, which I don't dread as much. I'm going to tackle the kitchen which looks like a laundry crossed with a restaurant kitchen at the busist session of th week (nother HH at 1.00pm anyone?) and then I'm going to have to sort out the freezer. I have a fridge full of stuff that needs to be crammed into it and it's already bursting (yet another HH at 2.00).

On the plus side of things I don't have to do today, the window cleaner has been and gone so they are sparkly (on the outside). It does rather mean I should do the insides because they haven't been done for a few months ....
    Better is good enough.
  • Monday - Little bit of everything to start the weekl
    Level Two
    S&S toilets and sinks
    [STRIKE]Hoover[/STRIKE] and mop the floors
    Level Three
Do a job you planned to complete by the end of the month
    Extras
    Empty all the bins

Thanks for the list Dusty - I am in this week :)

Anything deleted is done (plus a few other bits and bobs)

Didn't finish last weeks list but did most of it so this week should be much easier :j

  • Can anyone tell me what a half hour challenge is?

My Vax steam mop arrived today, super excited to use it. Unfortunately hoover is broken so can't hoover first so will need to either wait till OH gets home to sort hoover or sweep the floors instead. No fun!

I'm in this week after failing miserably last week! :o

You didn't fail (cause we don't as flyladies :p) you just achieved less than you'd hoped. Better luck this week

Welcome. Lots of the terms are explained at the top of the first post and in the 'Toots' guide - just click on the link to read.

Just having a little break, fair bit of the list done so I'm going to do HH on my Governor paperwork (it'll only make a little dent but better than nothing).

Pick something that wants doing - for instance clearing a hotspot, or cleaning a cupboard, anything you like. Set a timer for half an hour. Crack on and see what you can do of your chosen task before the timer goes off. If you want company, post here a few minutes before you commence, and invite people to join in with you.

Sometimes people select HHI (half hour ironing) or HHG (gardening) or HHE (exercise); it can be anything you're procrastinating over, but know you need to do.;)

With the above in mind - I need to do HHWiiFit; this will commence at 13:15 if anyone wants to so HHSomething with me :o

See, tea_n_toast, now I've posted, I have to get on and do it!:D

Ahh, thank you. That explains it perfectly. So you set your own challenge.

I will do one today at some point. This thread is great!

Ok, both my little angels sleeping so HHC commences. I am filling a box with DD2s clothes that need listed on Ebay.

That worked - the kitchen is looking a lot more like a kitchen, there's a bag of bags to go to the CS tomorrow morning and the bin is bulging. I will definitely be sorting out the freezer and downstairs fridge at 2.00pm and that will be me for the day.
    Better is good enough.
