Chair Covers?

Whats the best thing to do regarding chair covers?

We went back to our venue today and have decided that the chairs really need chair covers, they would really help transform the function hall into a wedding reception!

Now our dilemma is... hire/buy and where from?

We are in Essex and the wedding will be in Braintree if anyone has any ideas would be most welcome!

I managed to find a local business via eBay, negotiated a price outside of eBay for cash. Worked out at £80 for 50 chair covers & sash along with a Top Table Swag. I think personally its a good price for what we are getting. That includes setup etc. of the venue on the day, so one less thing to stress about

I'd love it if I could find a company to do it for that price! We only need 50 chair covers too!

Do you have any local wedding groups on facebook? If you do you may find companies on there doing deals.

Where I live most chair cover companies charge between £2 and £3 each, I found a company just starting out charging £1 each (including cover sash and set up). I also managed to find another bride in a different area a company that were doing a good deal on just the cover and sash- so if you know of someone that would be able to set them up for you you may find that a cheaper option- these were both through facebook so you can definately get good deals.

I am a wedding planner, when you hire chair covers, remember to ask if they come hung, as some will come folded as the creases will show, and believe me, it looks awful.

Have you considered changing the chair completley, the chivari chairs are beautiful, and you can have the seat pad suited to your colour scheme, and the cost to hire is usually cheaper then chair covers and sashes.

If you only need 50 your best off to buy them if you have time or a family member has time to put them on in your venue.
I bought mine 2nd hand and they are spandex so they are a stretch material. So no creases.
You can then wash them and sell them on for the price you paid for them.
Organza Chair sashes you can buy cheap too.

Facebook for sale sites (bargain wedding stuff) uk based but there are loads of different wedding sites on fb so do a good search.

It may be worth visiting wedding fairs, at one I went to last year there were companies offering £1.50 per chair including set-up. Even the small wedding fairs can be good - keep an eye out on your local paper. We went to a titchy wedding fair on Sunday and found a good cheap venue dresser.
