Argos Refund Advice / Help

I am looking for some guidance from a more worldly savy consumer, we recently purchased a sofa and chairs from Argos as its via a book we could not test it out, but it looked very comfy and well made.
All items were delivered to us and we unwrapped the packaging and placed the sofa and chairs together (a corner set) seemed all ok.
Then we had some family issues crop up which by circumstance meant we were away from home for many weeks off an on, we only go to use the sofa properly this weekend and behold we unhappy with it but 30 day has just passed.
No because we do not like but it is simply poor construction, extremely uncomfortable and very hard in places you would not imagine. We feel this would be far from suited to an every day use sofa although the book gave no indication of this.
It was purchased with Argos Vouchers paid for by our credit card and partly credit card.
In a nutshell the 30 days have passed but the item is not up to standard we have used it twice to come to this conclusion. How do we stand for a refund ?
Any help would be gratefully recieved.

Its a hard one this, on the one hand you could say that its not fit for purpose - or is it just personal preference? On the other hand they could say that it shoudl have been tried/sorted out earlier regardless of circumstances
Maybe you could try speaking to Argos and see what they say, though dont think you will get a positive response. Failing that you could try speaking to Trading Standards or Consumer Direct you may (or maynot) be able to help or advise youWeight Loss - 102lb0 -
