Unless you have actual line management then you are not managing them. If there is an issue then you need to take it through the line of command - who is your actual line manager? Who sets your targets and tells you what to do?

If it's this bloke in question, what you have done is bring his decision making and management down in public. And hence he does not want you there.

How long have you been employed by this company?
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

Oh dear, you need to see it from his perspective, started a month ago, you don't like the way he does things, call him names (egotist) and not even giving him the benefit of a "settling in" period before wading in complaining about other staff, you also appear to be talking for the team, so are you also discussing his performance with others.! Pull in your horns, apologise for talking out of turn and back off. If you want to get in his good books you need to be supportive and constructive not destructive.

Perhaps the staff member you think is the favourite has been told she needs to be more communicative with customers, service with a smile, that sort of thing.
Leave it to your manager to sort out and stop trying to stir up trouble.
