ceramic floor tiles won't cut

Hi,
I have some 9mm thick ceramic floor tiles.
I bought a tile cutter from b&q and it won't cut my tiles properly
The weird thing is that on the first night I managed to do 3 cuts ok. But now it won't cut/break properly...
I score the tiles, then put the snapper into place and pull down and sometimes it won't do anything, other times it breaks the end near the snapper straight and then the rest of the tile breaks off totally off line (like 10 cm in places)
The cutter works fine on different floor tiles that are about 2mm thinner but still ceramic floor tiles
The max tile thickness is 12mm
Does anyone have any advice?
thank you

Yes - do it properly with a wetsaw or a quality pro dry cutter. For the latter you could be shelling out over £ 300. Sorry if that seems unhelpful on the face of it.
Cheers
Edit: Sorry hit submit before the brain had finished computing the text. For the dry cutters check out Rubi - they do them less than the sum indicated and can be from £ 60 upwards but really top notch cutters can go over £300. Most of the sheds will do a bottom end wetsaw for between £ 30 and £ 50.The difference between genius and stupidity is that genius has it's limits. - Einstein0 -
Drummer do yourself a favour and get along to your local hire shop and hire a decent tile cutter, otherwise this job is going to take you 4 times as long and you will not be happy with the result.0

Hi
You can't cut into /around doorways with a snap cutter.
Wet cutter will do everything you want.(tile wise)

any idea why the tiles cut fine the first night but won't now?
they are only ceramic so most people that I know who have tiled have been fine using this tile cutter for their floor tiles?
what about a Titan 300w radial wet saw? they have one on offer in screw fix
I only have one L shape cut out, which i was going to do with a grinder, so wasn't worried about that, but I need a way to do my cuts hmm. I'm also down to zero in my bank after paying the trades...

what's the difference between a pro dry cutter and a standard b&q one? both are Tungsten Carbide blades?
I guess I need to know the cheapest option that will actually work that's either a dry cutter but a tougher one (it scores the tile so not sure on this?) or a wet cutter...

Cheaper (I think) than screwfix and free delivery (probably not as good as a hire shop one but will do the job and you can keep/resell)
Wear goggles, ceramic (or any) tile fragments aren't very comfortable in your eyes.0 -
I've found the manual cutters wear out very quickly and ended up going through 2 to tile my bathroom. At the end I was determined to finish and scored them a couple of times (and more), which I know is not recommended, but did the trick.0

made this exact mistake. bought a manual cutter and broke half a box of tiles into pieces, learnt pretty soon that your best bet is to take it back to the shop, get your money back and go and get a wet cutter with a diamond blade. it was about £45 but worth every single penny. ive laid 3 floors with it so far and does a cracking job. replacement diamond blades are £5 quid.
dread to think where id be in the house now still using that manual cutter!Even a stopped clock tells the right time twice a day, and for once I'm inclined to believe Withnail is right. We are indeed drifting into the arena of the unwell.0 -
There's also a certain element of skill involved. I'm the first to admit I'm crap and scoring and cutting tiles...so I don't bother.0
