My scales are broke ... help please!

i'm cooking rice and would normally measure 12oz of rice but i've dropped my scales and broke them

could i measure in a jug.... and if so what would the equivalent be

i've tried googling it but it just comes up with fluid oz..

12 oz is about 3/4 of a pint, hope this helps.

2 level tbsps = 1oz /25g if that helps

I always do one cup of rice two cups of water. That's enough for two people
