Help! Knitted presents for men!

MSErs, I need your help.

I've bought loads of chunky wool to make Christmas presents for my boyfriends family in Slovenia. So far, I have scarves planned for him (he lives in the uk with me), his mum, sister-in-law, little niece, and sister. Quick and very easy huh? :) I was planning to do scarves for his father, brother, and brother-in-law too but boyfriend tells me they'd be very unlikely to wear them (all mountaineering types kitted out with proper thermal gear already!) so now I'm stuck for what to make them...!

Any ideas for me?? Things like hot water bottle covers, mug warmers are probably also no good. I also can't knit anything circular so socks hats gloves are also out!

Help!
