Problems with Bristol Freecycle?

I had coffee with two friends this morning, neither of whom had met before and both have had problems with Bristol Freecycle. One was banned for saying the rule of putting area in wanteds was silly but yes she would do it in future and the other has had someone going into her account and changing the email settings sometimes 5-6 times a day. She's only just joined Bristol (about two weeks ago) and at one point was even booted from the group, no explanation but when Bristol posts stopped coming, she logged on to her yahoo groups and was no longer a member. Her other yahoo groups are fine - she is a member of four on total.
She joined westcountry-freecycle-cafe to see if anyone else was having this problem and someone was trying to suggest why this was happening but it seems this someone was also a Bristol mod - so why couldn't they just have found out what was happening rather than suggesting a mod was trying to 'attract her attention' because she was ignoring emails or that she was cross posting when she hadn't posted anything yet. She posted the fact that this apparently helpful person had the same name as one of the moderators at Bristol and found that the same person is also a mod on westcountry-freecycle-cafe and so would not allow her post through and basically told her to like it, lump it or leave.
I told her I would post on here and see if there is anything else she could do to make a complaint against this person. She's already joined Bristolfreegle
Hopefully no one there is, in my friend's words, as mad as a box of frogs!
