2nd Job interview

So right now I have a part-time job, however there is very little chance of any overtime and no chance to go full time.
So I decided to see if I can get a 2nd job, current boss knows this and is happy with it, and now I have an interview.
I'm guessing I probably will be asked something like 'Since you already have a job, why do you want to work here?'
Now I can't say that it's because my current job just pays the bill and I'd like more money and my current job can't offer any, so I was hoping someone here had some previous experience or even advice on what to say if it does come up.
(Also the job I'm going for is only 12 hours(less than my other job))

No previous experience but you have to tell them if you haven't already that you have another job then I would think about what the 2nd job is and why you want to work there full stop regardless of the other job you have currently.
Then say on top of that you want more hours to occupy your time and this you can fit in with the part job you already have.0 -
Well on my application, it asked for current employer, and then it asked reason for leaving so I put N/A so I assume they know I'm still working but I clarify at the start to be sure.
Then 2nd job is almost identical to my 1st as it consists of sitting on the till in a supermarket whereas what I do now I'm only on the till maybe half the time and in the warehouse the other half.
Why I want to work there is simple, it's in retail and that the sector I'm going for as I feel I excel in it, I can roll off other reasons for the job, why I want it and what I can bring, it's just that question really.
I can't seem to answer it without seeming like I'm there just for the money.0 -

You have just said it. You feel you can excel in it so say that and that you really enjoy your current role.
Since the 1st job can offer no more hours its not unusual to maybe take another part time job doing the same thing.0 -
Ok, so I'll just try to focus on how I really enjoy what I'm currently doing but with no more hours offered, I've had to look elsewhere and then go on as to how their company fits the bill ?0

you want more experience in your chosen sector - I should imagine that every supermarket chain works slightly differently and offers other services you might like to learn, (e.g. pick and pack for on-line orders, bureau de change).
good luck and let us know how you get on. xx0 -
It was a very informal interview, just wanted to check a few details and make sure I could fit my hours in and that I'd be flexible.
Had my tick a questionnaire to see if something was "Very like me", "A bit like me" or "Nothing like me", after filling that in and checking details it was basically go through the list and give reasons and examples why I put this.
Should find out in 3 weeks.0
