Hi
I took out a pension with Barclays Bank in 1971 and paid into this for 2 years, however i have no bank details or anything to claim this back. Can anyone help me find out how I can get this back please, many thanks in advance.

When you say you took out a pension with Barclays in 1971, do you mean you worked for them and it was an occupational pension?I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi, No it was a private pension, I had my own business and took out this pension for a few years. I paid about £5 a month i think. thanks Tony0

That would make it a section 226 retirement annuity contract then.
Have you moved house since taking it out?
There is the pension tracing service you could use to do a search. Although I suspect what has likely happened is that it lapsed with no value. Back then the first 2 years typically went on charges and and if you stopped paying in the first 5 or so years you got back nothing.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). Hi, sorry don't get on here much. How would I find the tracing service that you mentioned?
