I'm ReadytoRoll and I want to start
ReadytoRoll
I went overboard in posting to Gien's thread, so I thought I'd start one of my own to get started.
I'm ready to focus on getting rid of a credit card debt, to stash away some cash and to get my Christmas shopping done using as many freebies and inexpensive items as I can find between now and the holiday.
Like Gien said, Christmas is only ten weeks away, and even less by now. I'm going to make some progress each day and post it here.
I'm new to this board although I started reading it a few months ago. I am in the U.S. and am a retired high school English teacher. I'm on a pension, am married to a hubby who has just retired, but I want to keep as much of our savings in savings as we can.
To do that, I need to get our expenditures down to below our income with as much going into savings as possible.
Getting control of shopping and wasteful spending is where I need to start. We just had a huge family wedding, and I spent way too much. It was all worth it, of course, but I don't want to get too far out of control.
This morning I clipped a lot of coupons and need to get them filed. Then I need to take inventory of the food in the house and force myself to use it between now and the end of the year so it doesn't end up in the trash.
That's my big job today, along with a few other ones I'll talk about in detail over the coming days.
Thanks for providing this forum. Here's to everyone's success, one small step at a time.
