Tesco PF Credit File Cleanup Letter

Received a letter from TPF this morning replying to my letter requesting that they update my credit file to show as settled.
This is what I got:
Thank you for your letter dated blah. I can confirm that we have contacted the relevant credit reference agencies and requested the information be amended. We have requested that the account shows as closed (my discharge date 2012) under your name. We did not request the amendment of the default entry is no later than (my br date 2011). The relevant amendments will show on yoru credit file within the next 5 days.
So, this is great news that they acknowledge that this joint account is being closed, but is it not incorrect that they are not using the date that I was declared bankrupt?

The default date is 31/5/11 - does this mean it will disappear from my file after this date? The closure date is September this year.0

Hiya Lala, just to quote our FermiTo be 100% technically correct, the satisfaction date should be the discharge date.
However, if it's not then it doesn't effect when the account comes off. That is ALWAYS 6 years from the default date.
Honestly, as long as it does say satisfied etc, then I wouldn't expend any great effort correcting the date. It has no real impact.

Thanks If, I'm just pleased that they have done it, thought I was in for a right old rocky road of clean up pain with them0

Had another letter today from tesco credit card folk. They are going to mark the account as default date my br date but then partially settled as of my discharge date. Is this correct?0

True to their word, Tesco have marked both these accounts as settled, yay! The massive Tesco loan is now gone, the reason for by BR in the first place, and the evil person who landed me with that burden still owes it, two fingers to you!0
